Why Attitude changes everything

Developing the perspective of how you see yourself and the world, is the beginning of developing a winning attitude and winning in life. It doesn’t matter how important or big a person is, it’s only the mind that keeps you small.

Perspective:
You change the course of your life and experiences by thought. Your attitude toward yourself and life determines the way in which you live. Life gets hard, it gets challenging & stressful. There are days where you feel like giving up, days where you can’t be bothered doing anything. To live beyond these limiting thoughts, is to shift the negative thinking. Reject the negative thoughts and focus in on the good that is happening around you, to you and for you. It is your thought/perspective that makes you look at life’s circumstances differently.

Behaviour:
What you believe about yourself determines the way you think of yourself. How you think of yourself reflects your behaviour. Your behaviour dictates the actions and outcomes in your life. Perhaps you had an event or outcome that didn’t serve you well and caused you discomfort, stress or anxiety. It is very easy for us to dwell on what went wrong and try to take action on the things we cannot control. That only leads to more stress and anxiety. Adopting an attitude of optimism influences positive behaviours and actions which in turn reaffirm the optimistic attitude.

Conclusion:
You are the way you perceive yourself to be. Nurture yourself to produce the right attitude. To nurture yourself, is to feed your mind the right information. Make an effort daily to be grateful for the life you live and all that is in it. Attitude is the difference.

What are the steps you’ll take to develop a winning attitude ?

Lacking Motivation

We’ve all experienced days, weeks, months & even years when motivation feels absent. Motivation is the spark that gets us

  1. This is great! It’s a reminder we all need every now and then. What stood out to me most is the optimism part. I feel that it’s easy to become pessimistic if things that don’t serve us or stress us out happen in what sometimes feels like a convoy passing through.
    Thank you for this piece
